A recent incident at Strong Middle School leads to startling confession by an unnamed student. The day started as all other days begin at school. Morning greetings to friends and teachers, then the daily attendance check. Following the attendance, the unnamed student stood up to leave home room. Unfortunately her hair didn’t follow. Instead it fell to the floor. Her classmates were stunned at what they witnessed. Under her hair, seemingly tattooed to her skull were strange symbols and glyphs. One student reported that it looked like something from the Lord of the Rings.

Her teacher, Mr. M. responded quickly and got her to the school nurse. Thankfully, her classmates were so shocked that they weren’t able to laugh. The teacher asked for an explanation, thinking this was a hair-do gone wrong. At this point the unnamed student broke down and explained her family’s dark history.

The story as told to MI is this: Her great grandfather scammed a Gypsy matriarch in Rumania. While he successfully made off with a large sum of money, the Matriarch quickly realized that she was ripped off. She initially send men from her band after the girl’s great grandfather, and they gave him a chance to make amends.  Sadly, he viewed this as another chance to take advantage of the Gypsies. The matriarch lost her patience with the grandfather and laid a curse on him and five generations of his descendants. The curse causes them to lose their hair once per year once they reach adulthood.  The curse also leaves a birthmark on the descendant’s heads, which marks them as cursed.  The girl’s uncle is said to have journeyed to Rumania to try an lift the curse, but he was never heard from again. Since then, the family has resigned itself to its fate.

The Strong Middle School student is said to be in therapy.  Allegedly, the therapy isn’t going well because the psychologist doesn’t believe the story of the family curse.
